Through the Looking Microscope Thing
Picture Book SceneryMy crazy mother has been on me about my grades this trimester, to the point where she will physically force me to complete assignments. This has included her driving me around and instructing me to take pictures of things. This picture was one of those things. This pond is literally walking distance from my house, but I've never once seen it up close. My mom was driving, then stopped abruptly and said, "Get out and take pictures." In this case, however, I guess she was right because I'd say this picture turned out pretty well. When I climbed back into the car, she even acted like she didn't totally hate it, so that was a plus.

Ted Walk
This is a picture of the sidewalk near one of my best friends' houses. I've walked this path very few times, but each time was memorable. The first time was when the two of us, along with her baby sister biked from her house to the Target a few miles up the road - that poor baby's legs were so tired by the time we arrived that my friend's mom ended up just picking her up and driving her home. The second time I walked was when my friend (whose house it was) and another friend were just roaming the neighborhood. We were laughing, talking and whatever when we stumbled upon a DVD case. We picked it up and saw that it was for the movie Ted, some idiotic and raunchy comedy that was out at the time. It was rated R and the three of us were 13. I didn't even think the actual DVD would be left inside, due to the popularity of the movie, but to our pleasant surprise, it was. We sprinted back to my friend's house and watched the movie on her laptop with her door locked shut and volume low.
